I love practicing preventative medicine with my adult patients.  My approach to every patient is to complete a very thorough medical history and review all of the prior laboratory data.  I then usually order additional blood tests to complete the picture.  I look for nutrient deficiencies as well as early blood sugar problems, high cholesterol, and hormonal problems.  I then make an individualized nutrient plan for every patient and also make dietary and lifestyle recommendations.  My goal is to help patients understand where they have genetic weaknesses and how they can slow down the development of chronic disease.

Most of my preventative medicine medical training was received through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
